With a milestone birthday and the birth of their third child on the horizon, Sally realised it had been a long time between family portraits and decided to book a session. This portrait session for a family close to my heart is a mix of candid Lifestyle Photography feat. her two rambunctious kids, couple portraits of Sally & Josh, and maternity photos as well. Plus we even decided to throw a few classic family photos into the mix!
When Bron & Pete got engaged, they told me straight away that the main focus was their guests, “this is the only chance we’ll probably ever get to have ALL of our favourite people and our families in ONE place! Think about that!” With that in mind, they booked out Donnelly River, one of my favourite Wedding Venues in Western Australia.
With roots across Asia, America and now, Europe, she’s had the chance to work across the globe and is a firm fixture at design events like Maison Objet in Paris and of course, Milan Design Week. She kindly took a break from scouring Design Week’s famous trade shows to show me around a few of her favourite exhibits.
Milan Design Week (aka Fuorisalone aka Salone del Mobile) is hands down the biggest event in the world celebrating all things Design. It’s a week that demands attention and draws the eye not only of discerning Milanese, but of anyone who works in creative fields across the world. This is where prominent Designers come to launch their new pieces and where promising university students come to get noticed.
With Neetu & Chris, it was no different. They were travelling in Italy for their 3rd anniversary, and wanted some photos for the occasion. It was a perfect balmy spring evening – the kind of easygoing weather that Milan hardly ever sees – so of course tourists, travellers and locals were out in full force.
No matter which way you look at it, there is something magical about working with someone who is both talented and passionate about their work. My friend Sara, a Designer & Interior Stylist, is absolutely both of those things, so when she asked me to do some Interiors Photography at her home in Milan, of course I jumped on the chance!
They were married in a beautiful, classic ceremony at Quarry Farm in Whitby, nearby to where we all grew up, in a room filled with childhood friends and extended family – a tight knit, longstanding community all eager to witness Glen & Kara’s new beginning and commitment to one another.
