Jordon & Mitchell’s gorgeous Mandurah wedding had me bouncing for days afterwards and I still look back at it as one of my favourites – from the backyard cocktail reception to the never-ending smiles, and of course Jordon’s incredible red gown by Natalie Rolt Designs.
When we met up at a Fremantle cafe before the wedding, Jordon told me she’d given up all hope of getting married but Mitchell surprised her at one of their favourite camping grounds with a ring and so plans to get hitched were suddenly underway.
They opted to keep everything local, getting married at Coodanup park a short walk from their house, photos in a nearby reserve, a backyard cocktail reception where drinks & laughs were free-flowing, before heading to the local pub for speeches and another beer or three.
This Mandurah wedding reflected absolutely Jordon & Mitchell’s personalities and their styles – breaking traditions that didn’t suit, but holding onto those that were important for them – and they trusted my vision as a photographer to capture it for them, which is always such an inordinate pleasure.
“Remember the day Is about you and your partner. You can spend a lot of time and money trying to please others that the day can become a bit lost in meaning. The day goes so quickly you just want to enjoy it and take it all in.”
