Around her son’s first birthday, Marija realised her little one was growing up fast and so she booked an In-Home Family Photography session to capture these moments. Her son, Leo is full of character, and so these turned out to be some truly Fun Milan Family Portraits.
A lot of parents worry about booking family portraits when their kids are full of energy – perhaps they have trouble sitting still or they lose interest in things quickly. I understand you want to make the most of your family portraits, and that means not just receiving a gallery of beautiful family portraits, but also having a great experience during the shoot itself.
The good news is, family portraits no longer mean sitting still in a studio, saying cheese and hoping for the best. Lifestyle family photography involves capturing life as it really is – all of your family’s quirks and unique personalities. In little Leo’s case… well, it’s pretty evident from the photos that he was out to have fun!
I don’t approach In-Home Family Photography with a cookie cutter approach. Your family is unique, and you deserve to have that uniqueness captured and documented. So, I arrive with an open mind and a plan to do whatever suits you & your family best. That could mean playing in the park, cooking up a storm, or bouncing from one activity to another to keep up with your active kids – whatever it takes to make sure everyone is having a great time!
Speaking of, I love injecting some fun into your Milan Family Portraits! In Marija, Davide & Leo’s case, this wasn’t hard. Leo was so delightfully expressive and loved soaking up all the attention, and it would have been impossible not to laugh along with him. Having fun of course means different things for different families. My advice would be to take the cues from your kids, and do something that’s comfortable for them. Think of something that your family loves to do together, and plan to have a family session doing exactly that!!
A great option is to choose an In-Home Family Photography session. Some kids are more likely to feel comfortable in a space that they consider theirs (and of course you know your little ones best!). At home, there are plenty of activities to choose from, and your kids will be in their element. Not just that, but you’ll be able to document your family home for both you & them to look back on as time goes by! Who knows, we could even start your Milan Fun Family Portraits at home, and then venture out to your local park or your family’s favourite gelateria or pasticceria!!
