Quarry Farm Wedding Photography: Glen & Kara

I remember my little brother teasing Glen about when he was going to get engaged already. My brother wasn’t the only one who was waiting for the news to roll in – as everyone kept a close eye on his sister’s instagram account, an incredibly talented jeweller who would surely be let in on the secret before anybody else.

On my part, I just couldn’t wait to take photos of Glen & Kara together. As kids, Glen, his sisters, my brothers & I used to roam the streets of Armadale barefoot, playing lego, climbing trees, picking fruit and getting into all kinds of mischief, while Glen & I always kept score on who got higher marks at school.

Unfortunately for us all, Kara wasn’t there to run amok with us when we were ratbag kids – I’m sure if she was, she would have brought the class level up 10,000% – but I’m so glad she & Glen wound up together.

They were married in a beautiful, classic ceremony at Quarry Farm in Whitby, nearby to where we all grew up, in a room filled with childhood friends and extended family – a tight knit, longstanding community all eager to witness Glen & Kara’s new beginning and commitment to one another.

Glen & Kara laughed & smiled together the whole day long before an epic dance party ended out the night. It was such an honour to be a part of this day, and a real joy to photograph at this beautiful venue in Perth’s hills! Thank you for having me Glen & Kara – and to all the guests for dancing with me even until after last drinks were called!
