I love my country. I love its brazen nature – from the landscapes to the sarcasm to the proud nasal accent. I love that life here, for the most part, is simple. I love how clear it has become to me that I am a product of my hometown. I even, on occasion, find myself wishing I’d be happy to stay here. But I can’t.
I have this constant need to challenge myself. To push boundaries. To learn about the world around me. I like risk. I like its rewards. I love the lessons learnt from failures, and the stories that disasters eventually become. I’m coming to realise, ever so slowly, that my restless feet will not allow me to stay in one place for long.
